General Guidelines for our Telephone System
F If you call and hear the Main Menu at any time during normal business hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), press 0 to reach the receptionist, if available. Press * 4 at any time while listening to any message or announcement, to start it at the beginning and repeat it.
F From the Main Menu you may press any 2-digit option or 2-digit mailbox extension at any time to transfer immediately.
· Example: You need to leave information regarding your ill child on the Attendance & Tardy Line: Call the school number. As soon as you hear the recorded announcement, you should press 40. You will be transferred immediately to the Attendance & Tardy Line.
F Once you have transferred from the Main Menu to a mailbox extension or menu option, you may transfer to any other mailbox extension or main menu option by first pressing * 8, then the 2-digit number.
· Example: You have just finished listening to the Crusader Athletic Info Line and you would like to leave a message for Mrs. Loser: After you have heard the info you need on the Athletic Line, press * 8 23 (Mrs. Loser’s mailbox extension number)
F If you call before or after normal business hours and you press 0, the phones at the school will ring until someone answers (if anyone is available), or until you hang up.
