What is Maranatha?

The word "MARANATHA" consists of two Aramean words, Maran’athah, meaning, "our Lord comes," or is "coming."  It is found in I Corinthians 16:22. This reminds us today to be watchful for our Lord’s return. Eternity is forever; therefore, it is imperative to be reminded of "Maranatha" and then to obey.

I Corinthians 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

II  Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove  your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
