New Crusader Student Center

(See photos below) October has come and gone and exterior windows are now all installed. Exterior doors will be installed next week and the following week. The mechanical system is quite a work of art and is in the final stages of installation, with roof-top units in place and nearly all duct work in place. Control wiring has begun. Boiler hot water piping is nearly done. The new hood for the kitchen cook line is now hung and will be connected to the already installed exhaust fan this coming week. Electrical wiring is coming along well. Audio, intercom, computer, and phone wiring is in progress. The fire sprinkler system installation has also begun, and the fire alarm system just began Friday, October 31. Note the diner booths and tables setting in place near the new 50's style diner! The storage area is now framed with floor, exterior wall, and roof. All exterior sheathing is installed, and stucco application will begin the first week of November. Interior drywall is being hung in several places, and exterior thermal insulation will begin November 3rd. Steel guardrails on both stair exits has been welded in place. It is hard to believe that we have come this far, and everyone who tours the new space is left in awe of the size and the excitement that will come for the students when we occupy this fun building! It is so close to that day . . . but still a lot of details to finalize . . . we are still hopeful that this will come at the end of November.
