Drywall is hung on exterior and interior walls in the kitchen, dining area, lobby, restrooms, and both exits. Work on the fire sprinkler system is continuing - the main riser is installed and branch lines are being hung throughout the building. The boilers are complete now with glycol – just waiting for the gas line regulators to be installed so they can be fired up and tested! Thermal insulation is now installed in all exterior walls and roof areas, and sound insulation is placed in interior walls as well. The exterior is now nearing completion with the stucco finish beginning on the east side. The kitchen exhaust hood is now connected to the exhaust fan and all air ducts and water pipes are insulated. One of the most exiting developments is the counter area at the 50's style diner/soda fountain. The walls are built, drywalled, and now the ledge where the stools will set has been constructed. The front of the counter wall will be faced with glass blocks and we are now attempting to find a way to back-light the glass blocks for an exiting visual effect!
